Every now and then your life takes a completely different direction, sometimes for the better and sometimes for worse. During my absence from WW over the past 9 months or so, I’ve been constantly working towards a goal which I’m delighted to have achieved. Continue reading

King of Europe Round 2 – Takin’ It to the Streets
There’s a lot of debate over the true origins of drifting, and whilst there appears to be no conclusive answers on where it truly begun, there’s no doubt that the Japanese touge would’ve had a huge part to play in the birth and growth of the sport. One day I’ll make sure I visit the spots where I believe to be its spiritual home – in the meantime, let’s see what happens when we bring some of Europe’s best drivers to battle it out on the mountain roads of Karpacz, Poland! King of Europe 2015 Round 1 – Trailblazin’
After months of hype and updates on the drivers’ internet-breaking new car builds, it was time to start the 2015 season with a bang – King of Europe is back and it’s bigger than ever!

Silverstone 24H – Never Give Up
This time last year several members of Wangan Warriors were eagerly anticipating heading over to Germany. Despite them all being lucky enough to have enjoyed it before, it would be my first visit to the Nürburgring, and also my first 24 hour event. Nothing can quite prepare you for what you’ll experience on this trip to the Green Hell, it’s the ultimate event for any petrolhead.

The Year Through My Lens
As I’m sat staring at a blank page wondering exactly where to start with explaining what this whole year has meant to me, it’s made my mind think way back to right where everything started. Why? Because this year has undoubtedly been a giant leap towards what I had hoped to achieve when I was sat in this same position exactly a year ago. I wasn’t writing an article for Wangan Warriors at that time, which is why I believe 2014 is where it truly started, and it’s been an absolute pleasure to come on-board with the team. It’s been a hectic one, no doubt – and for that reason I’d like to take the opportunity to not just talk about the craziness that has made this year, but also to go back and introduce myself properly as part of WW.

King of Europe – The Final Battle
Despite being less than a month ago, it already feels like some time since I was last behind the lens, I can only put this down to the fact that this has been a crazy year for me. I decided early on that there were several events I would need to attend before it was over, and I tried my best to make this happen. Some things didn’t happen due to other commitments, however others did, and these have provided some amazing opportunities. Let me hit the rewind button… Continue reading
BDC Round 4 – Smoke on the Water
It seems like just a few days ago since I was stood on the side of the track at Teesside for Round 3. I remember wondering just how long I was going to have to stand, soaked out of my skin with the rain hammering down on me before we could enjoy what drifting is best known for – turning any place imaginable into a huge smoke pit. Continue reading
BDC Round 3: JDM Appreciation
It was time again to hit the road and travel to one of the further locations on the British Drift Championship calendar for me. Prior to this I had never visited Teesside, but I’d heard a lot of good things and couldn’t wait to take on the challenge of trying somewhere new. Some events are worth travelling five hours for, and I was convinced that Round 3 was going to be one of them.

King of Europe: Battle for the Throne
During the off-season I find myself eagerly awaiting certain fixtures to appear in the motorsport calendar. I had set myself a promise that King of Europe would be on my “to do” list for 2014, and I was determined to make that happen. Then, the fixtures arrived and I had never expected to see my local circuit right here in the UK pop up as a destination for the first time. As you can imagine I was quite thrilled to say the least!

Drift Allstars: The Big Smoke
During the off-season, there’s always an event you see getting talked about and popping up on your News Feed every time you open Facebook, but it feels a lifetime away and you don’t want to get excited too early. Drift Allstars London was that event. Some of the best cars and drivers Europe has to offer bundled into a street track. What more could you ask for? Glorious weather? Yeah it had that too.
