The Nürburgring truly is a special place. Nowhere else in the world can you turn up at 17:30h after work and go for a quick blast along a 20km. winding racetrack. It doesn’t matter if you are driving a ’90s Micra or the latest Lamborghini. As long as it has wheels and it drives, it is welcome at the ring.

As I walk by at events I see a lot of beautiful cars, but what makes me sad is that most of them are only show. Don’t get me wrong about this but I just love a project which has the looks and the performance. What is holding people back to go for the full monty? Is it the money? The time to build? Or maybe the possibility to fail? There are only a handful of people who take the time and have the dedication to build something. Meet Mario, the owner of this beautiful clean and fast Supra! Baby blue. The Emperador Motorismo S13
If you’ve read my first blog about the Valtonen Motorsport RX7 a couple weeks ago you probably read that I hoped that that blog wasn’t my last for Wangan Warriors. Luckily for me, here I am with number two! This time I got invited to the WNGN 2K16 event held at an old military terrain near Venray. The forecast for the day was really bad but we did have some good moments to take photos. Continue reading
Postcard from Japan
What better place to get a postcard from than Japan right? Our club member Paul has made the trip to the land of the rising sun and was kind enough to send us a couple photos. We’ll try and get a little travel report for you guys by the time Paul is back but for now you’ll have to do it with these pictures from the famous Star Road workshop. Continue reading
Dropped: That particular Lexus
It’s a shame that I don’t attend various events that often anymore. Not that I’m not interested in them but my motivation to be on the road and driving to many places eased a lot over the past two years. Every once in a while I do decide to behave a little different and I go on a little impromtu trip. When I found out that the ‘Dropped’ event was taking place near my home, it didn’t take me too long to decide to go over and have a look. Continue reading
Built to win! The Valtonen Motorsport RX-7
Hello and welcome to my first (and hopefully not last) blog on Wangan Warriors. Some may know me as Stijn van Beek, seen my photos on Lifestyle-INC or know me as a red-headed boy driving a Honda CRX. I’m not going to bother you guys with boring stuff about myself so let’s talk about something you don’t see everyday. All the way from Finland, the Valtonen Motorsport FD3S RX-7. Continue reading
Spotlight: Ash’s CRX
As promised in my blog of Mimms Honda Day I present you a little spotlight of Ash his magnificent CRX. At the Stanced Daily meet, my roadtrip buddy Stijn contacted Ash if he was in for a little photoshoot. Luckily he was and who turns down a free photoshoot right? He drove to the meeting and from there we went to the Excell building in London. Continue reading
Work in progress; A quick update on project Hakosuka
It’s been a while since I’ve given you an update on DBM Engineering’s project Hakosuka but don’t worry, I’ve carried on following this build ever since the last blog I wrote about this project of epic proportions. Continue reading
Project Rockin’ Roadster still rocks
Slow projects are still projects. In fact, slow projects are probably the builds with most passion if you ask me. If you’re able to keep a car in your posession without giving in to the temptation of selling all your parts or maybe even the entire car, you’re the right person for that project. I’m talking about Rockin’ Roadster. We’ve given you a couple updates in the past about the progress so I figured is was about time to let you know the latest state of affairs. Continue reading
KON: The World is Yours
Every now and then your life takes a completely different direction, sometimes for the better and sometimes for worse. During my absence from WW over the past 9 months or so, I’ve been constantly working towards a goal which I’m delighted to have achieved. Continue reading
