Events: DMPD trackday – A track day like no other

Track days are all having the same routine. You arrive at the track, you prepare your car, you race and you go home. Most of the time with a bit of social interaction between sessions, but not too much because you need, want, to drive on the track. It’s fun, I admit it, and I really enjoy photographing them because of the huge smiles on the driver’s faces and the variety of cars on the track. Continue reading

Spotlight: Bjorn’s beautiful monster

Every now and again you come across a car that leaves a lasting impression. It can be love at first sight for many reasons. In this case Bjorn’s car is one of my favorites just because it’s a complete allrounder. You might know this Nissan 200SX S14A as the ex Falken drifter / Time Attack ride of Lennard Wander. Car life: The sorry state of Dutch drifting?

Drifting, the art of sliding a car around a track. Smoke, screaming tyres, a very focussed driver turning the wheel at insane speed and the ocassional crash. And you know what? I’m a fan! The last few years I visited the Scandinavian Drift Series and the British Drift Championship multiple times, I’m a long time visitor of sites like Driftworks or Drifted and naturally I watch the Formula Drift and I spend countless hours on Youtube watching Japanese drift movies.
