Drift Allstars Round 6: Taking over the streets of Kaunas.

For one last time in 2014 the Drift Allstars circus would descend upon a town, turning it into their home for the weekend – Kaunas in Lithuania would set the stage for the series finals. With all the drivers still hungry for a podium finish and the overall championship still up for grabs for a select few, the street track would prove to be the ultimate setting for this day of judgement. Drift Allstars Round 4: Turn it up to eleven.

As a photographer you’re continuously trying to one-up yourself. You keep trying to challenge yourself in new ways and get even better at what you do. In this quest for improvement, you also try to look for events that will help you express your creativity and that will allow you to create exciting images. It was during this quest that I found myself in Riga, where the 4th round of the Extreme Drift Allstars was set to take place. Continue reading

Between crimson and violet: A showstopping Soarer

Dedication is a concept you can’t really put a number on. That is, until you have to travel almost 600km from Leipzig all the way to Nijmegen for a car event… That’s over 6 hours of driving! Combine that with a recently refreshed car that looks the bee’s knees, and you have the recipe for a car that needs to be put in the spotlight.

Unadulterated S15

A few months ago, some of the Wangan Warriors decided to drag me along on their trip to the Nürmeet 2013. During one of the days there, we spotted a nice S15. Quickly I went over to the owner and asked him if he’d be up for a photoshoot… Needless to say, he was. A lovely tour through the Eifel was planned for that day, so were were a bit short on time. Luckily I was able to spend enough time with this very clean and proper JDM Silvia to capture some photos of it. Continue reading

NDC 2013 – A taste of the big leagues

If there’s one area in the world that I love, it’s the German Eifel, home to the famous Nürburgring. With its lovely hills and abundance of trees, it’s almost an exact opposite to the city that I call home, which is Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Once again I would return to motorsport heaven to capture one of the most spectaculair motorsports out there: drifting! Continue reading

Events: Nürmeet 2013 – A wonderful weekend

Just a few weeks before the DTM, Noud, one of the founders of Wangan Warriors, asked me if I wanted to come along to the SXCE Nürmeet. As a big fan of the DTM, but also Japanese cars this wasn’t an easy choice. The DTM is one of the highlights on my calendar, but I also knew the Nürmeet would be a great way to spend the weekend. After a week of being in a dilemma, I decided on the Nürmeet. I just knew I’d regret not coming along, and looking back on my decision, I’m sure I made the right choice. Continue reading
