Imagine this for a second: You’re living in a village which is almost completely abandonded and left to dilapidate by your governement for many years. You’ve been living there most of your life, if not your entire life and you’re being forced in all kinds of ways to leave your home because of an industrial plan which will affect your village in a way you don’t want – demolition. This is exactly the case with a small place called Doel. Doel is an East Flemish village situated on the leftbank of the Schelde river just outside the harbour of Antwerp in Belgium. Continue reading

Raising the bar: Dr. Frankenstein’s Miata
A while ago I drove to a remote part of The Netherlands. A part where they speak a funny language called Frisian, where space is abundant and where two brothers are building awesome cars. I went there to shoot one of those cars, an awesome Suzuki Swift with a Honda heart transplant and an attention to detail that was mind boggling.

As some of you know, Maurice and myself are currently in Sweden for Gatebil at Mantorp Park. The event has just ended and we’re still shaking from everything we’ve seen and done these past few days. Make sure you keep checking our blog for the coverage which will be published sometime this week. Sweden, we love you! Let us treat you with a nice wallpaper to kick off the event coverage. Work in progress: Rockin’ Roadster
Rockin’ Roadster, the latest Wangan Warriors project is born and will be built by our very own passionate Allard van Grafhorst. Let’s just say although this project is in its early hours, I can tell you first hand that it will kick ass! The good people at I.L. Motorsport provided Allard with an old MX5 shell which must be the best Christmas present a gearhead can get. Last Saturday I decided to pay Allard a visit at his family’s workshop and see what he was up to. Continue reading
Video: DART Raceday
Mathieu Van Den Oever. You might have heard that name before once or twice because he’s quite the miracleworker when it comes to making videos. He was able to capture the Dutch American Racing Team during Thunderhill 25h and returned home with some amazing material. Continue reading

Weekend Wallpaper: Rolling Warriors
I wanted to share a cool photo that we captured this weekend. There is nothing more relaxing and fun to hang around with a group of friends, cruise around, take photographs and enjoy eachothers company. This photo represents that feeling. Captured by fellow Wangan Warriors photographer Allard. Continue reading
Spotlight: Warrior Kevin
I don’t recall that our club member Kevin ever had a proper introduction on our blog. Not that he needs an introduction at this time but he still deserves a little attention and exposure just for the reason that he has one hell of a loud RX7 FC and because he’s an awesome guy! I just wanted to share a few shots and tell you people a little bit about Kevin and his Mazda. Continue reading
Weekend Wallpaper: Roadster Crew
I can’t stress enough how much I like the vibe in this shot. Being in good company is always fun! Continue reading
Car feature: Simplicity, less is more
Stop your google searches for cool Miatas, I have one for you right here. This little blue beauty is in posession of proud owner and builder, Dylan Mirtic. This kid is ridiculous in a very good way. We all have a certain caution with low cars and try to scrape as less as possible. Dylan scrapes with a big smile on his face. Continue reading
