What´s 2019 gonna bring?!

“This year is going to be so much better then last year!”. But is it going to be so much better? And what makes it a good year?

Before looking forward to this year I want to look back to a rough year of 2018. A year I only wrote two blogs for Wangan and barely touched my camera. A year we only published a total of six blogs.

Edo’s S2000 – Wide & fast!

The Honda S2000 is a roadster equipped with a powerful 2.0 liter VTEC engine. Some would say this is the perfect car for a road trip to the Alps. Then there are also people who want to make it in to a racecar. In that particular case we are talking about Edo. In the past years he collected a lot of parts to make his S2000 in to a track weapon. Special car, special location. My friend Georgi lead us to this awesome skatepark underneath the highway ‘A9′ near Amsterdam and it gave us some pretty cool pictures.

Mimms Honda Day 2017: Season kickoff!

The weather is getting better, projects are being finished and people are getting excited! Time to wash the cars, get some fuel and drive a lot of kilometers for a car show. Mimms Honda Day was the kick-off of the 2017 season for me. This was a special one in my opinion because I got my CRX back on the road after 2 years and I drove to the UK right away.

Kenneth’s widebody S2000 – Screaming Vtec

Sometimes you meet people in your life and you just know you are going to be friends for a very long time. Almost 10 years ago I met Kenneth, we were both into the casemodding scene and liked to play shooting games. We got older and we started to like cars. After owning a Honda Civic and a Del Sol, he bought a S2000 and modified it quite a bit.

Andy’s Spoon Powered S2000 (AP1) at the Nürburgring.

The Nürburgring truly is a special place. Nowhere else in the world can you turn up at 17:30h after work and go for a quick blast along a 20km. winding racetrack. It doesn’t matter if you are driving a ’90s Micra or the latest Lamborghini. As long as it has wheels and it drives, it is welcome at the ring.

Mimms Honda Day 2015 – End of season finale

During a lazy weeknight, I was browsing on Facebook wasting some time when I saw a message from a buddy of mine who was looking for a co-driver to join him on a trip to Mimms. It caught my attention, I’ve never been to England before and I was curious to see this event and also to see how the UK scene compares to the Netherlands. I had over 25 days of holiday left from work to spare, so I said to myself “Why the hell not?!”. We cruised down to Duinkerke to get the boat to Dover, it was a crazy moment when coming to the French border with the current police and military presence. They stood there with automatic guns after all the drama which has unfortunately unfolded during the past few weeks. Continue reading

S2000 with edge

This S2000 might be the most interesting car that I saw at Gatebil for various reasons. Others might beg to differ, but this is a personal thing. I used to be a convertible driver and I’ve always had a weak spot for the Honda S2000 over the years. Whenever I see a cool S2K project I repeatedly fall in love over and over again and wish that one day I will drive one myself. However I’m always entertained when I see another owner enjoying his or her project and therefore I’d like to tell you a little story about Dennis Häggblom, the proud owner and builder of this particular Honda. DMPD Finest Finest

We as human beings all have our own preference – some like it hot, others like it cold. Some like bacon, others are vegetarian. Some like it stanced, others like it functional. Me? I like my bacon hot, but when it comes to cars I really like most of the sub-cultures within the automotive community, something that reflects on the DMPD events as well as you can see here and here, so allow me to show you some of DMPD finest finest!
